Releasing and Finding Awareness

I watch a bird take flight

It is not mine to own

My hands forget sometimes

They desire to cling fervently to things that wish to fly

My hands wish to hold onto it, because it is what I wish to be

I step back and await

My heart desperate and hopeful for its return

I buckle with gratitude

Every time it does.

This is a reflection on understanding the difference between logic and reason versus what we feel. It has been my resolve to join the two together in order to create unity between logic and feeling. The only way to do this is to understand the rational of the two ways of existing, allowing both to exist simultaneously.

Listen and connect to both. Then examine why they don’t align. This can take you down deep paths which may require assistance from Therapists in order to heal deep inner Trauma.

The point is to become aware of both.

The Joy is when we can release easily without pain or heartbreak. But rather we find joy in the existence of things being exactly as they are mean to be, without trying to alter or change how they are (including ourselves). Nature is the best example of this. It finds perfect balance when humans step out of the way of them. It does not need our help. It needs us to have the least impact as possible.

How can you lovingly appreciate and release something that you are thinking about right now?

And what are all your feelings surrounding this complexity?

Allow yourself to feel and identify all your feelings surrounding this thing.

Also

Allow yourself to hear the logic and reason surrounding it.

Write them down and look at both sides to discover if they are aligned or they are in conflict.

Remember, there are no wrong feelings, feelings tell us the truth of events. Allowing them to exist is the first step to reconciliation between logic/reason and feelings. Both are of equal value.
